Pittsworth SES volunteers need your help to respond to incidents in your community. Have YOU considered joining the State Emergency Service?
Some of the roles that SES volunteers undertake are:
Flood boat operations (Search & Rescue, resupply and evacuations)
Storm Damage response (Temporary repairs to residences)
First Aid and Welfare
Community Engagement/Education
Road Crash Rescue (not all groups)
SES volunteers support other agencies and services such as Rural Fire Service, QLD Ambulance Service, and QLD Police Service, in roles such as:
Air Base Operations
Casualty Handling
Emergency Operations Centre
Communications
Forensic/Crime scene Searches
You don’t need to have these skills already; all training is provided by the organisation to ensure that our volunteers have the appropriate training to safely and effectively respond to incidents within their communities.
